Schematic Design

We produce preliminary CAD layout drawings for each type/capacity of elevator or escalator in each concept scheme in order to aid in space planning. If required, space planning for escalators will be conducted as well as concept layout schemes. Options and locations of goods lifts within different cores will also be explored.

Advice will be given concerning service areas, storage areas and goods flow into the building. Comments will also be given upon the architect’s outline plans in relation to vertical transportation concept schemes and degrees of compliance with current standards and codes.

We will review the impacts of any special building security or safety requirements, as well as the impacts of the phased occupation of buildings according to various concept schemes under consideration (if applicable).

An outline specification summary schedule of equipment will be provided. Final scheme designs will be agreed upon so that a summary report covering the selected designs can be produced.

Examples:

VT Plan at Ground Floor (main lobby)

Considerations of passenger flow have been made in order to maximize re-rentable space, riding quality and efficiency.

Traffic simulation was conducted in order to finalize the best strategies for for the low rise zone, high rise zone and transfers in floor location.

Recommendations toward the placement of firefighting lifts and its lobby have been made as well as considerations of waste flow and passenger/cyclsit flow from the car park.

Duplex pair through car bicycle/passenger lift to move 500 bicycles/cyclists between street level and U2. It also considers waste/goods movement.
