Our preliminary process is to consult with our clients in order to gather data so that we are able to fully understand the infrastructure. Attributes investigated include building type, number of floors, floor to floor height, floor area, main lobby floors along with the presence of any facility floors or building locations so that the strategy of people and goods/waste flow within the building can be established.
After establishing unique design requirements and limitations, comments are made concerning any physical site restrictions, constraints and technical viabilities that might affect the designs of vertical transportation equipment. Our strategies are also formed at this time.
Using traffic analysis, predicted population levels and likely circulation patterns within the development are provided. This is so that we can form suggestions, options and concepts for the locations and types of VT equipment required.
Once these processes have been conducted:
- We provide reports with document and establish design criteria and assumptions being made in the planning of vertical transportation systems.
- Drawing services and commentaries upon options for core and lobby layouts at the typical floor for vertical transportation concept schemes are conducted.
- These services also comment on options for the lift car and shaft dimensions for vertical transportation concept schemes.
In order to develop even deeper knowledge, we also study VT system conceptual designs through reconstructing VT diagrams of many of the tallest buildings in the world. Through enriching our expertise, we are able to provide services of the highest quality.
